So excited for this…for the first time ever, Tom Ford opens the doors to his studio and takes us on a behind the scenes look at his life. Oprahs OWN network (do we even get that here???) starts its Visionaires series and gives us a sneak peak at this private creative genius. Here’s the trailer:

If you want more and more and more, click HERE for a few snippets from the documentary.

I Smell Tom Ford

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

How crisp and fresh…don’t you just want to run out to the store and buy a bottle? A really big one to bathe in? Or better yet don’t you want to see the rest of this add without it being cut off!? Simple, go here and type in Neroli Portofino. Can this website be anymore interactive?

I actually did the above a couple weekends ago in Istanbul…IN OTHER TOM FORD NEWS, the designer releases his ESSENTIALS LIST. A document ALL should print out and LIVE by. I cannot stress how important this is…

John Galliano releases his first public statement and is headed to rehab. Click HERE to read it. Heads at Dior have been trying to get rid of her for a while, but they didn’t have to orchestrate such a big scandal to do so? People in that video talking to Galliano that night didn’t really sound offended or even upset by his verbal aggression, they actually sounded amused and were laughing.¬† If I was drunk and being harassed by ugly people, I would have probably acted the same mindless way in JOKE. Someone that is responsible for such FIERCENESS as the below, can easily be forgiven….

VIDEO SCREEN: Born this Way

Monday, February 28th, 2011

This video TOTALLY makes up for the mediocre song. I’m GAGA gagging over every second of the visual kaleidoscope directed by Nick Knight. Loving the ode to Michael Jackson and Madonna at the end… Check it don’t wreck it….

Midnight Recovery by Kiehl’s

Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

Though it was two weeks ago, I still had to post it as it was a majorly hot event. Taking place at chic space that is Capital D Studio, Kiehl’s launched its midnight recovery serum. How appropriate for Dubai, as we all need to dab this lotion potion on after a Dubai night.I swear by their products as any visitor to my illustrious bathroom would know. Not to mention the photo exhibition by Ayaad Damouni “At the Stroke of Midnight” which was on display and up for auction for the Make A Wish Foundation. Even famed jewelry designer De Grisogono and entourage showed up. It was another hot event by Image Nation.

The New Traffic Gallery

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

Rami Farook’s gallery Traffic has relocated to Al Qouz (a very convenient section of it) and it didn’t cease to impress. The massive space debut works by Hesam Rahmanian along with Rami’s private collection which was on display. The opening had the who’s who of Dubai’s art scene along with a performance by concious Arab hip hop artist Narcicyst . I wont reveal too much as i’ll leave it to you to go and check it out. It is defiantely worth the trip.

Launching Rolling Stone Magazine

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

We were caught by surprise when a rock and roll legacy like Rolling Stone magazine decided to launch its middle east edition. Showing up a bit late due to slight wardrobe malfunction we were taken aback by the energy. Brilliant music, hot setup..the party ¬†truly exuded pure rock and roll glamour done right! The new Gramercy Bar in DIFC was converted into a shrine for Rolling Stones Magazine and all things rock, with the help of Chic Alors! and Image Nation. It was truly a rocking night and something Dubai hasn’t seen for a while.

The walls were framed with classic Rolling Stone covers….
